THEVISIONARIES
The Collaborative Sorghum Investment Program (CSIP) is a partnership between farmer leadership, and Kansas State University. The Sorghum Checkoff, Kansas Grain Sorghum Commission, and Kansas State University formed CSIP to tackle the advancement of sorghum demand, yield and value. The partnership is supported by the Kansas Department of Agriculture, and industry partners.
By 2025 the program aims to increase yield to 100 bushels per acre, increase value to no less than 2 percent the value of corn, and increase annual consumptive demand to 1.25B bushels.
