The Center is a platform for public and private collaborations to advance sorghum.

In spring 2017, the Collaborative Sorghum Investment Program (CSIP) was founded through a partnership between farmer leadership and Kansas State University. The CSIP program is housed in the Center for Sorghum Improvement (CSI) and is the cornerstone program of the Center.
